Welcome to Coyote Lacrosse 2017-2018

Posted by Coyote Lacrosse at Jul 20, 2017 7:26AM PDT
Monarch High School Lacrosse 2017-2018 We want to welcome back all of our new and existing Coyote Families! Club Ball has finished and now it is YOTES TIME! We are committed to providing our players with many exciting off season activities. Our philosophy has always been to support multi-sport athletes, but to also provide players that may not participate in fall or winter sports ways to get better. Below is an outline of what this year is going to look like. Please plan accordingly with budgeting your school and work time. Coach Auday, Dax, Chancellor, Puldy, LaHoda, Friscione, and Chancellor Jr all can’t wait to get things going. We can’t wait to see all of you soon! FALL BALL

- Open throw will begin on August 16th, the first day of school. Open throw is open to ALL Players and is FREE of charge. Open throw will run all the way up to November. We will have open throw every Wednesday and Thursday starting at 5:00 pm and ending at 7:00 until daylight becomes a factor. We will start in the Monarch High School Weight Room from 5:00-5:30 making sure our players are lifting lacrosse specific lifts and working on core strength as well. For those of you not playing fall sports this is a GREAT WAY to work on your lax skills, the weather is perfect and our coaches really value this opportunity. Again, there is no charge to this and we want to pack the house. We are also going to run a two day camp on August 18th and 19th. This will also be free (a possible small charge to pay for a tee-shirt.) We are hoping to have both days under the lights and make this special. We will be reserving fields as soon as school personnel come back so stay tuned.

-DLC Fall Elite League: Last year we had two teams, a varsity and JV. The goal this year is to have THREE. All our coachers will be working with all levels. We will continue to put a varsity in the elite league, but new this year will be a second varsity team. We feel we have the depth to play a second team in the next division down, some good 5a teams and elite 4a teams. Our third team will be playing in the JV League. This means we are looking at 65 or more players to be able to accomplish this. Due to the costs of the league a per player cost will be $100.00 per player. DLC Games are played on Saturdays. Games begin on September 9th and follow for six consecutive weeks and then playoffs.

-Coyote Strength and Conditioning: 8 sessions in the Monarch Weight room 6:00-7:00 begining October 25th and 26th and ending on November 16th. Cost per player will be $75.00. Please note that NO player having any financial issues will EVER be denied an opportunity. Contact Coach Auday and this will remain totally confidential. The philosophy of charging players here is so they SHOW UP and value the time everyone is putting in.

*December: The only three weeks you have off to focus on your finals and finishing academically strong.

WINTER BALL

-Once school starts up we are provided free sessions of night open throw. From January 3rd and 4th to the start of regular season(CHSAA start date February 26th) every Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00-8:30. We have to work around winters sports so gym time is at a premium however, we will always be doing something during these times.
-Coyote Camp February 21,22,23 the hope is we are able to get outside and go from 5:00-7:00. If not we will try and reserve indoor space times to be announced due to winter sports. Again, this is FREE, but may have a minor tee-shirt cost.

-Box Lax: Looking at times and venues. Rentals will require a minor cost.

Spring

-Regular season begins February 26th, it comes quick.

Have a great summer and enjoy the family time together.

PLAYERS ARE MADE IN THE OFF SEASON.”
